Planning Manager - Airport Project

Our Leading International Architectural & Engineering Design & Supervision client has a new requirement for a well experienced Program Planning Manager to join their team in Kuwait at a prestigious new project. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Planning & Program Manager on major projects in the GG working for a major consultancy business. Previous experience of working on Airport projects is essential for this role.


This role is available for immediate joining and is a permanent hire role direct with our client.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership of the development, implementation, continuous update and follow up on at KIA project program
  • Provide definition of the program control and key governance elements
  • Planning the overall schedule and monitor the progress.
  • Analyze, communicate, manage, and propose corrective actions to the risk management program.
  • Support and provide input to managing the project’s resources, activities and budget
  • Coordinate project interface and interdependency activities with project leaders, team members and other stakeholders
  • Manage the resources utilization across the projects.
  • Aligning the deliverables (outputs) to the program’s “outcome”
  • Provide support at the program documentation of the project and highlight in advance coming milestone to be achieved. 


Planning Manager Experience:

  • Diploma / Master Degree on Engineering
  • 15 years and above total of experience, in particular minimum of 12 years in Airports with preference of 5 years at least in GCC region.
  • Fluent in English written and spoken, preferable to have Arabic language skills
  • Experience in large scale projects, multi-disciplinary project structure, multinational organizations and knowledge of GCC culture.
  • Role and responsibility with full project mandate to present the company before the client and reports to the management of the company
  • To protect the company reputation and maintain an outstanding performance up to the satisfaction of the client and stakeholders
  • Good knowledge and handling of project and program management methodology and techniques, Primavera P6.
  • Good understanding of the wider objectives of the project program.
  • Ability to work positively with the wide range of individuals involved in program management;
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Good knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures; and the ability to find innovative ways to resolve problems
