Planning & Project Controls Manager - Consultancy

Our Multi National Project Management Consultancy client has a new requirement for a well experienced Planning & Project Controls Manager to join their team in Abu Dhabi to work on high profile hospitality build and refurbishment projects. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Planning / Project Controls Manager on a mix of civil construction, refurbishment and fit out projects in the UAE and have a proven track record of working in recognised consultancy, PMC or client side Companies.
This role is available for immediate joining and is a direct hire, permanent placement with our client.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure proactive project planning, stakeholder relations, and risk management takes place across projects
- Planning/ Monitoring/ Claims/ Risks & Contracts functions handled as a Client Representative.
- Review, analyze & control Master Development / EPC / Contractor Baseline programs.
- Prepare & Analyze Risk / Recovery schedules & highlight Top Management with upcoming Risks & Impacts.
- Analyze & monitor Baseline / Recovery / Weekly / Monthly programs & reports for contractors & sub-contractors.
- Analyze EOT Claims for Contractors & responding all Contractual proceedings.
- Preparation of MIS report, Project dashboard (KPI) Top Management Reporting.
- Monitor & control Design/Procurement tasks. Prepare Project cost control deliverables (Cash flow, S curve).
- Analyze and monitor site progress on the basis of database management.
- Develop & monitor look ahead schedules for Project execution & Procurement management.
- Drafting Contractual correspondence to Contractors/Consultants related to Progress, Time, and Contracts issues.
Planning & Project Controls Manager Experience:
- Minimum B.Sc degree in a relevant engineering discipline
- Minimum of 12-15 years relevant experience and at least 3 in a recognised consultancy, PMC or client side company
- Demonstrable experience of Hospitality build, refurbishment and fit-out projects.
- Candidates will demonstrate that they can not only use the software (eg Primavera P6) but understand how to plan, have chaired necessary workshops with functional managers, that they can articulate the plan to senior managers and have wider quantitative project controls experience.
- Experience with Dubai and Abu Dhabi authorities permitting, and delay analysis is desirable.
- Good Understanding of Critical Path and Delay Analysis Techniques and can perform time impact and claim analysis.
- Certification in planning and scheduling of projects and in using Primavera applications (Primavera Project Management / P6 and Primavera Contract Management / Expedition)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to handle complex situations with professionalism and confidentiality
