Procurement Manager - Interiors

Our Multi National Real Estate Developer client has a new requirement for a well experienced Procurement Manager for Interiors to join their team in Dubai to work on multiple new high profile projects. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Procurement Manager specialising in Interiors for large scale civil construction projects in the UAE and the wider GCC.


This role is available for immediate joining and is a direct hire, permanent placement with our client.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Candidates responsibilities will include Leading negotiations with suppliers, managing purchasing and tracking orders, creating and maintaining the inventory, quality assurance and liaising with inventory teams and management.
  • The Procurement Manager (Interiors) will work with staff across departments to forecast the needs of the business and make purchase decisions based on demand.
  • The Procurement Manager should be analytically minded and possess excellent negotiating skills to secure the best prices according to budget.
  • Knowledge of estimation and tendering is essential
  • Candidates must have experience in bespoke designs and premium quality standards in Residential, Commercial & Hospitality Projects.
  • Must have experience in Project Tendering and organizing Scope Breakdown Structures of Large scale Projects.
  • Expert in material specifications, integrating BOQ's and compiling tender documents for invitations to bid.
  • Strong technical background and experienced in market research and analysis for innovative solutions and emerging trends in the industry.
  • Capable of reaching out and dealing/negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors locally and internationally.
  • Build relationships with suppliers and negotiate with them for the best pricing.
  • Process requisitions and update senior management on status of orders.
  • Manage inventory and ensure that stock levels are kept at appropriate levels.
  • Manage transport of goods and track orders to ensure timely delivery.
  • Analyze market trends and apply this knowledge to make insightful buying decisions.
  • Coordinate with inventory team, management, and stockroom as required.
  • Assess quality of stock received and escalate any discrepancies to suppliers and management.


Procurement Manager - Interior Design Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design or similar relevant subject
  • Minimum 8-10 years post graduate experience
  • Profiles with Interiors or Architectural Design Consultancy or fit out contractors background will be preferred for this role
  • Working knowledge of software packages typically associated with procurement
  • Strong Estimation and tendering experience is essential
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills
