Project Architect - Consultancy - 3 Month Contract

Our Global Engineering Consultancy client has a new requirement for a well experienced Consultant Supervision Architect to join their team in Doha, Qatar to work on new build school projects in the State of Qatar. Successful candidates will have extensive experience as a Supervision Architect with a recognised consultancy company background. Driving License is essential for this role due to project is across multiple locations

This role is available for immediate joining and is an initial 3 month contract position as an outsourced candidate employed by J10 Consulting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing leadership and subject matter expertise to the project to achieve time, cost, quality and safety objectives.
• Monitoring and reporting on the production of information with respect to the discipline-related services submittal progress.
• Reviewing submitted shop drawings and material submittals (and the like) against the drawings and specifications, local codes and statutory requirements and international best practice.
• Checking and ensuring co-ordination between architectural design and all other disciplines.
• Providing technical input and experience to resolve architectural related engineering issues on the Project.
• Maintaining open communication with the client and contractor's discipline engineers on project related issues.
• Coordinating the works to ensure successful project hand-over.
• Attending technical and progress meetings with the contractor/client's representative.
• Identifying issues and risks that need to be brought to the attention of senior project management as necessary.
• Managing actively QA/QC project requirement with the related discipline.
• Preparing correspondence on subject matter expertise to issue to the client/contractor as required to meet project objectives.
• Reviewing as built and O&M manuals for completeness.
• Being point of contact for Project Team Leader and senior site personnel on project architectural related issues.

Consultant Project Architect Experience:

• Education: Bachelor in Architecture.
• Experience wise must have a minimum of 10 years of experience, most recent experience must be in Qatar - 4 years minimum, and MUST have worked for well-regarded design consultancies as opposed to Contractors.
• Software: Autodesk REVIT essential, proficiency in other design programs is required
• Experience as a supervision Architect working across multiple projects
• Role will involve travelling between multiple projects so Qatar Driving license is essential
• Strong observation and inspection skills are requisite for the role.
