Project Controls Manager - VIP Villas - 6 Month Contract

Our Regional Project Management Consultancy (PMC) client has a new requirement for a well experienced Project Controls Manager to join their team in Abu Dhabi to work on VIP Villa & Residential projects in the Emirate. Successful candidates will have extensive Project Control and planning experience ideally with a consultancy company background in VIP Villa and Residential developments.

This role is available for immediate joining and is an initial 6 month contract hire opportunity as an outsourced employee through J10 Consulting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manages complex projects:
• May manage certain phases of projects only.
• Generally working under the supervision of a senior Project Manager/Program Manager or above, or a Regional Manager.
• Within individual's area of responsibility, consistently identifies potential project problems or opportunities in a proactive manner, analyzes the issues using all appropriate resources, develops alternatives and arrives at the most optimum approach to mitigate problems or exploit opportunities.
• Makes sound, well-informed and objective decisions relating to assigned project with a strong understanding of the impact and implications of decisions.
• Manages project resources.
• Advises/mentors less experienced staff on project management skills.

Project Controls Manager Experience:

• B.Sc degree in a relevant engineering discipline
• Proven experience in managing a team
• Project Control of Professional Services (Engineering and consultancy services);
• Proven track record of having contributed to the development of procedures related to planning and schedules review.
• 8+ years of experience in planning and project controls
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to handle complex situations with professionalism and confidentiality
