Project Coordinator - Consultancy - 3 Month Contract

Our International Architectural Design Consultancy client has a new requirement for a well experienced Project Coordinator to join their team in Dubai at a prestigious new project. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a project coordinator on new large scale, high profile projects in the UAE. Candidates must have worked for a recognised architectural and design consultancy client in a supervision role as site architect


This role is available for immediate joining and is an initial 3 month contract position employed as an outsourced candidate through J10 consulting.


Key Responsibilities:

The Project Coordinator’s core function is to act as a facilitator in a coordination role between the design consultant teams, client, client representatives (including PM), and construction site teams.

  • Assist Design Manager in coordination of project with all stakeholders.
  • Provide the single point of contact for each design consultant and act as facilitator for the resolution of internal conflicts and problem areas.
  • Fee Proposal preparation, QA & QC audits, procedural writing, etc.
  • Facilitate the implementation of all required schedules and log records for use in managing, tracking, coordination, reporting and record-keeping.
  • Support on Projects, Pursuits and Initiatives.
  • Demonstrates energy, enthusiasm, creativity, and a highly-disciplined work ethic.
  • Support and coordinate work efforts through all phases of a project
  • Communicate actively through weekly meetings, assisting with issuing meeting minutes and accurate project record keeping and sharing project information and correspondence.
  • Manage time and workload to meet project deadlines and commitments
  • Proactively review and coordinate project documents
  • Collaborate with senior PMs to manage compliance plans to align with goals
  • Administer internal control procedures with Project Accountant
  • Develop, monitor and maintain project schedules, work plans, and financial performance
  • Participate in the development of sustainable strategies and practices
  • Comply with standards, policies, and procedures and direct others in the use of those resources
  • Support in the preparation of proposals in response to project related RFPs
  • Supports Senior Project Managers to maintain Client Services Agreement, Sub-Consultant Agreements and requests for additional services.
  • Demonstrates leadership in implementation of sustainable strategies in all project assignments.
  • Shop Drawings Review, Comment & Approval.
  • Material Submittals Review, Comment & Approval
  • Overall shop drawing schedule monitoring 
  • Overall material schedule monitoring 
  • Coordinate with the Operators & ID 
  • Coordinate with all Sub-Consultants
  • Implementing client Standards & Levels of detailing


Project Coordinator Experience:

  • Minimum 8-10 years overall experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Revit
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interiors or related
  • Previous experience of working in a recognised Design and Engineering Consultancy.
  • Strong Site based experience working on large scale, high profile projects in the UAE is essential
  • Strong Communication skills both written and verbal are essential
