Project Engineer (De-Watering) - PMC

Our Global Project Management Consultancy client has a new requirement for a well experienced Consultant Project Engineer specialising in De-Watering projects to join their team in NEOM, KSA at a high profile Infrastructure & Build project. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Consultant Project Engineer for De-Watering Projects on large scale building infrastructure projects ideally within KSA and/or the wider GCC.


This role is available for immediate joining and is a direct hire, permanent placement with our client.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct support on-site for review of architectural and engineering submittals for Projects
  • Provide CRS comments related to constructability of proposed designs
  • Participate in construction team meetings to provide design input on current activities and proposed contractor alternatives
  • Actively inspect the construction site to check compliance with design requirements
  • Provide support to Engineered Design teams out-of-Kingdom on design requirements and on-site conditions
  • Support reporting and analysis for Projects leadership on design requirements and constructability.
  • Communicate and coordinate with stakeholders, including architects, contractors, subcontractors, and client sectors and proponents. 
  • Knowledge of Construction materials and processes with understanding of the different materials and processes used in construction
  • Use structural analysis to calculate the forces and stresses that will be exerted on a structure and to ensure that it is safe and stable during construction
  • Basic understanding of geotechnical engineering for foundation construction
  • Familiar with the application of building codes and regulations
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, perform calculations, and troubleshoot problems.
  • Plan, schedule, and execute projects on time and within budget.
  • Identify and correct errors and omissions.


Consultant Project Engineer (De-Watering) Experience:

  • A bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in construction engineering with at least 2 in a recognised PMC or consultancy company.
  • Ability to identify and solve complex problems quickly and efficiently.
  • Discipline knowledge in structural engineering, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, and/or electrical engineering
  • Construction methods and materials
  • Familiar with relevant building codes and regulations.
  • Project management principles including project planning and scheduling, cost estimation and control, risk management, quality control, communication, and coordination
  • Able to adapt to changing conditions and unexpected challenges.
  • Able to pay close attention to detail to ensure that their designs and plans are accurate and safe
