Project Manager - Consultancy

Our multi national Project Management Consultancy (PMC) client has a new requirement for a well experienced Project Manager to join their team in Doha, Qatar. Successful candidates will have extensive project management experience with consultancy background experience on large scale mixed use development projects.


This role is available for immediate joining and is a direct hire, permanent employment opportunity.


Responsibilities:

  • Ensure and review project management compliance related to Project.
  • Liaise with various internal teams and external stakeholders to effectively manage various Projects.
  • Lead planning and implementation of project.
  • Facilitate the definition of project scope and goals.
  • Define project tasks and resource requirements.
  • Develop full scale project plans.
  • Assemble and coordinate project staff.
  • Manage project budget.
  • Manage project resource allocation.
  • Plan and schedule project timelines.
  • Track project deliverables using appropriate tools.
  • Provide direction and support to project team.
  • Quality assurance.
  • Strong presentation skills (creating and delivering)
  • Ensure projects are moving forward in line with project plan.
  • Preparing presentations for workshops, management meetings, etc.
  • Managing Senior Management Team meetings and strategic workshops.
  • Collaboration and communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Responsible for specific project delivery across all disciplines (technical, commercial, project controls (programme, planning, risk, systems compliance etc.))
  • Provide support to the Senior Management where required on project management matters.


Project Manager Requirements:

Mandatory Requirements

  • The role requires a proven track record of delivering mixed use development projects
  • University degree from a recognized University in an appropriate field such as, Project Management, Quantity Surveying, Procurement or Construction Management or equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills in English, written and spoken
  • 18-20 + years of relevant experience

Desirable requirements

  • Evidence of suitable professional qualification PMP, MRICS or equivalent is preferable
  • Background in PMC or Consultancy company.
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field
  • Arabic language skills
  • Chartered engineer status from a recognized institution
  • Experience of working in Qatar (3 years minimum) and / or the Gulf region as a whole.
