Project Manager - Main Contractor - 6 Month Contract

Our Main Contracting Client has a new requirement for a seasoned Project Manager to join their team in Dubai providing strategic and operational leadership for large scale, complex civil construction projects including high rise towers and major villa masterplans. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Project Manager overseeing new build projects in the UAE and beyond having worked for recognised main contracting companies previously.
This role is available for immediate joining and is hiring on a temporary to permanent basis as an initial 6 month contract position, outsourced through J10 Consulting, with the option to transfer to staff after 6 months to suit all parties.
Key Responsibilities:
The role is responsible for leading and overseeing all construction operations across new build projects. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards. Provides strategic leadership, manages senior project teams, and reports directly to executive management.
- Lead and oversee end-to-end construction operations across projects.
- Develop construction strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Ensure compliance with contract specifications, quality standards, and local regulations.
- Provide leadership to Project Managers, Construction Managers, and site teams.
- Review and approve project schedules, cost plans, and risk assessments.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, government authorities, and stakeholders.
- Oversee procurement strategies and subcontractor performance.
- Implement HSE policies and ensure zero-incident culture.
- Resolve high-level technical and contractual issues.
- Prepare executive reports for senior management and board review.
Project Manager Experience:
- BSc in Civil, Structural or related
- Minimum 10-12 years’ experience in construction management across various project sizes including high rise towers and major villa masterplans
- Strong and proven experience with reinforced concrete, steel structures, and foundations
- In-depth knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, and temporary works
- Familiarity with relevant building codes and standards
- Experience working with consultants, inspectors, and authorities
- Technical governance and compliance
- Team leadership and performance management
- Risk management and decision-making
