Quantity Surveyor - Contractor - 12 Month Contract

Our Regional Civil Contracting Company client has a new requirement for a well experienced Quantity Surveyor (Post Contract) to join their team in Dubai, UAE. Successful candidates will have extensive post contract Quantity Surveying experience on civil construction projects including mid / high rise residential, commercial, mixed use and retail building projects.

This role is available for immediate joining and is an initial 12 month contract position, outsourced through J10 Consulting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Management of bonds, insurances and guarantee logs;
• Interim valuations and payment certificates;
• Variations analysis, recommendations and management;
• Risk and value management and cost control functions;
• Costs analysis project work;
• Identifying, analyzing and developing responses to commercial risks;
• Preparation of progress/ cost reports;
• Reporting to Senior Commercial Manager on all commercial issues;
• Understanding the implications of authorities regulations and health and safety regulations;
• Attendance and representation at commercial meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Direct Manager

Quantity Surveyor Experience:

• BSC in Quantity Surveying from a recognised institution preferred
• Experience in post contract works on high rise and civil construction projects
• Minimum of 4-5 years’ experience with at least 1-2 years’ UAE, experience
• Knowledge in the use of QS software or similar is required;
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills;
• Possess good project background and proven English language technical writing ability and skills
