Quantity Surveyor - Main Contractor - 3 Month Contract

Our Main Contractor Civil Contracting client has a new requirement for a well experienced Quantity Surveyor (Post Contract) to join their team in Dubai, UAE. Successful candidates will have extensive post contract Quantity Surveying experience on civil construction projects including mid / high rise residential, commercial, mixed use and retail building projects. Only candidates who have worked for a recognised main contracting company previously will be considered


This role is available for immediate joining and is an initial 3 month contract position, outsourced through J10 Consulting.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Management of bonds, insurances and guarantee logs;
  • Interim valuations and payment certificates;
  • Variations analysis, recommendations and management;
  • Risk and value management and cost control functions;
  • Costs analysis project work;
  • Identifying, analyzing and developing responses to commercial risks;
  • Preparation of progress/ cost reports;
  • Reporting to Senior Commercial Manager on all commercial issues;
  • Understanding the implications of authorities regulations and health and safety regulations;
  • Attendance and representation at commercial meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Direct Manager


Quantity Surveyor Experience:

  • BSC in Quantity Surveying from a recognised institution preferred
  • Experience in post contract works on low-mid rise and civil construction projects
  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience with at least 1-2 years’ UAE, experience in recognised main contracting companies
  • Knowledge in the use of QS software or similar is required;
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills;
  • Possess good project background and proven English language technical writing ability and skills
