Resident Engineer - Electrical - DMS/ADMS Infrastructure - 3 Month Contract

Our Global Engineering consultancy client has a new requirement for a well experienced Resident Electrical Engineer to join their team in Abu Dhabi / Al Ain, UAE at a large scale DMS Infrastructure project. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Resident Electrical Engineer with an International Consultancy on large scale DMS or ADMS Infrastructure projects in the GCC.

This role is available for immediate joining and is for an initial 3-month fixed term contract as an outsourced employee through J10 Consulting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technical point of reference for the design and engineering, site supervision, testing and commissioning for a valued client. The project works include a major upgrade of client's DMS infrastructure. Candidates with experience and exposure to DMS and ADMS control centres are preferred. 
• Review contractor's design documentation to ensure client's contractual requirements and specifications are met
• Supervise site activities of project and ensure compliance to all plans and specifications.
• Oversee working of all site engineering personnel and inspect all materials/deliverables and assist to identify and resolve all non-conformities
• Monitor the construction/implementation/installation process and ensure compliance to specifications
• Ensure compliance to all health and safety policies (federal, government, client and internal) at site
• Monitor the Contractors' progress during construction/installation and regularly assesses output
• Implement QMS requirements and conduct regular Audits
• FAT & SAT witness activities to ensure compliance to contract requirements of contractor’s deliverables

Resident Engineer - Electrical Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering minimum, MSc in construction related field preferred
• 15+ years of experience in the field of construction is required
• Experience in the construction of DMS or ADMS Infrastructure projects, including supervisory experience.
• Requires a comprehensive knowledge of engineering and construction related processes, as well as industry practices.
• Requires excellent written and oral communication skills, a familiarity with CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering and construction, and the proven ability for performing in a supervisory capacity on a project.
