REVIT Architect - Consultancy - 3 Month Contract

Our leading Architect & Engineering Practice client has a new requirement for a number of well experienced Architects to join their team in Dubai. Successful candidates will have a proven background as an Architect on major commercial, hospitality and mixed use in the UAE.


This role is available for immediate joining and is for an initial 3-month fixed term contract as an outsourced employee through J10 Consulting.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce concept, schematic and detailed drawings in line with project briefs and within agreed timeframes, to a standard required by the client including the required level of information, presentation and documentation control.
  • Design Development
  • Completion of all packages of work to clients standards on time.
  • Adhere to client standards. Ensure all documentation is as per clients handbook.
  • Ensure all documentation is as per local codes and regulations.
  • Must have in depth detailed knowledge of local codes and regulations
  • Must have knowledge of building permit procedures.
  • Ensure Project Architects meet agreed deadlines for documentation issue.
  • Ensure all work is delivered to the correct standard and on time.
  • Assist the Project Architects with the local authority submissions in accordance with the relevant local authority requirements.
  • Be proactive and suggest improvements or amendments required to the systems.
  • Ensure that technical knowledge is up to date with:
  • Standard construction techniques and details.
  • Construction techniques and details typical to Middle East construction.
  • Be aware of new construction practices and their impact on details.
  • Share knowledge of construction detailing.
  • Research different supplier’s details.
  • Ensure knowledge of materials and systems are up to date and expanded on a project to project basis.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and appreciation of the scope of works for the whole range of sub consultants. i.e.: HVAC systems, lighting level coordination, acoustical requirements.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Client/ Operators procedures and standards to enable the compliance of design.
  • Ensure sub-consultants requirements are adequately incorporated in drawing packages.
  • Assume responsibility for developing a specialist interest. For example, sustainable design, roof detailing, timber specifying, paint specifying etc.
  • Ensure adequate knowledge of specifications in order to correctly annotate drawings.
  • Ensure adequate English to ensure correct spelling and grammar on all documentation.


REVIT Architect Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor in Architecture.
  • Experience wise must have 5 - 7 years of experience, most recent experience must be in UAE - 4 years minimum, and MUST have worked for well-regarded design consultancies as opposed to Contractors.
  • Software: Autodesk REVIT essential, Rhino, Grasshopper, Dynamo a bonus.
  • Experience of major design projects including high rise, mixed use, commercial and hospitality projects is preferred.
