Section Engineer (Concrete) - Civil Contractor

Our Multi National Civil Contracting client has a new requirement for a seasoned Section Engineer (Concrete) to join their team in Abu Dhabi at a prestigious new project in the Emirate. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Section Engineer (Concrete) on major civil and infrastructure projects in the UAE and have worked in the capacity of Section or Project Engineer (Concrete) for a Main or Civil Infrastructure Contracting company previously. .

This role is available for immediate joining and is a direct hire, permanent opportunity employed by our client.

Key Responsibilities:

• Report on site progress to the construction manager
• Lead one or two site teams (up to 25 persons)
• Site supervision, establishment of daily reporting, planning and scheduling of daily activities, coordinate subcontractors, etc.
• Monitoring the instrumentation readings and liaise with the professional engineer when requires.
• Implement the approved method statement, Safe work Procedure and Risk Assessment.
• Track the daily progress report and submit to the system.
• Familiar with local regulations.
• Any other tasks as assigned.

Section Engineer (Concrete) Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering
• Minimum 5-8 years’ experience in Civil Infrastructure Engineering (Construction).
• Preferably Experience in either ground engineering or civil infrastructure projects, lift shaft, and manhole construction.
• Basic Experience in dealing with local Authorities / Stakeholders.
• Problem Solving Mentality.
• Strong Skills in work preparation, scheduling, supervision, and leading teams.
