Senior Architect - Master-planning & Mixed Use - Consultancy

Our International Engineering consultancy client has a new requirements for well experienced consultant Senior Architect - Master-planning & Mixed use projects to join their team in Abu Dhabi to work on high profile projects. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Senior Architect for Master-planning and mixed use large scale projects in the GCC.
This role is available for immediate joining and is a direct hire, permanent placement with our client.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the team in developing projects from concept stages to tender, client facing, scheduling and coordination with other design team leads and other disciplines.
- Assist the Project Design lead to pursue the tasks by reviewing all relevant documents, reporting of discrepancies and non-compliances of documents and design requirements.
- Review and document design changes and implications of changes or any value engineering proposed, Fully responsible for the quality and functionality of any works related to their department. Shall prepare, monitor, control and manage the architecture team deployment.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure that design is fully coordinated with other disciplines.
- Participate in resolving technical issues between the design and other specialists.
- Ensure that coordinated design information is provided to design team and monitor activities and level of quality.
- Shall be involved with regular reporting to the client on project progress. This in parallel of continuous internal reporting channel on the progress and performance
- Ensures that the design is seamlessly conveyed to the site, transfer design intent, and clarify discrepancies and ensures technical compliance and functionality at set level of quality.
- Participate in preparing project monthly report.
- Update regularly and maintain all required data. Ensure proper and seamless documentation of all departmental processes. Chair, attend and minute meetings as assigned in the meeting matrix depending on the project structure.

- Review and approve drawings before issuing to the client, authorities, and sub consultants.
- Ensure that the design documents comply with applicable state laws / regulation
- Ensure compatibility between Drawings, Specifications and BOQ.
- Confirm compliance with all applicable building codes, legal requirements, and requirements of relevant third parties.
- Maintain a Design Change Log recording all design changes that deviate from the original project brief, project scope or client’s requirements.
Senior Architect - Master-planning & mixed use Experience:
- Degree in Architecture
- Minimum 15 years of professional experience and at least 3 in a recognised International Consultancy
- Managing and developing projects from concept stages to tender, client facing, scheduling and coordination with design teams and other disciplines,
- Experienced in managing multiple projects to time and budget,
- Ability to work as part of a team
- An all-rounder with a key interest in having hands-on problem-solving approach.
- Language skills: English (Must)
- Excellent Revit, Auto Cad, Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat Pro and MS Office skills
