Senior BIM Modeler (5* High Rise Hotel) - Main Contractor

Our Tier 1 Civil Contracting client has a new requirement for a Senior BIM Modeler to join their team in Ras Al Khaimah at prestigious new project in the Emirate. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Senior Architectural BIM Modeler on major 5* Hospitality and High Rise projects in the UAE and have worked in the capacity of Senior BIM Modeler for a recognised Tier 1 Civil Contracting Company


This role is available for immediate joining and is a direct hire, permanent opportunity employed by our client.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Review Tender & IFC information model issued by consultants (2D drawings, BIM models & asset data) as per ISO19650
  • BIM modeling for design documents.
  • Ability to lead team of modelers and guide them to prepare BIM models & extract/ generate general arrangement plans, diagrams, sections, elevations, and schedule from Revit based on Tender / Contract drawings issued.
  • Modify, maintain, and manages healthy models, following the best industry practices.
  • Coordinate and assist BIM team in modeling of projects based off existing 2D CAD plans or construction documents.
  • Provide support as per BIM coordinator and Design Coordinator’s instruction.
  • Ensure BIM QA/QC & maintain healthy models.
  • Ability to perform clash detection and clash avoidance tasks.
  • Assist both internal and external team members in the development of construction documents.
  • Maintenance and proper utilization of company/project standards, templates, and content.
  • Update models & documents based on RFI responses, Engineer’s instructions & Design change requests.
  • Identify and notify discrepancies in contract documents.
  • Complete work as required by Project information standards & protocols.
  • Ensure all work is passed to the document controller for processing.
  • Support the Coordinator and Manager by providing information for site queries
  • Understands and follows the project BIM Execution Plan and the standards for BIM implementation, as per the project specifications.
  • Demonstrates Building Information Modeling skills as per the requirement.
  • Reports and solves any discrepancies and potential technical issues, within the agreed timelines.
  • Ensures the deliverables are met, as per the project requirements.
  • Effective checklist compliance.
  • Consistent Quality in drawings.
  • Ability to provide right information at right time.
  • High learning skills and adaptability to BIM software platforms.
  • Support & ensure as built/redline/handing over process.
  • Collect the information for as built drawings and update model and extract drawing, then checking the details to ensure they are accurate


Senior BIM Modeler Experience:

  • 3 Year Diploma in Architecture/Civil
  • At least 5 years’ experience as BIM Modeler role in GCC
  • Project experience in GCC countries.
  • Expert knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Autodesk Construction Cloud
  • BIM fundamentals, principles & workflows -Advance level.
  • ACP Certification
  • Experience in Collaborative shared environment.
  • PAS, ISO19650
  • Excellent written, visualization and spoken English
  • Revizto/ Navisworks
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office
  • Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat
