Senior Buyer - Property / Facility Management

Our Regional Holding Group client has a new requirement for a well experienced Senior Buyer to join their Property and Facilities Management business team in Abu Dhabi, UAE to work on high profile projects. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Senior Buyer working in process and governance driven operations and experienced on large projects in the UAE and the wider GCC.


This role is available for immediate joining and is a direct hire, permanent placement with our client.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Pre-qualify competent suppliers as per Procurement Policy to ensure all suppliers meet required guidelines.
  • Review and Process Purchase Request, obtain 3 quotations and Prepare Price Comparison for internal or external Clients approval.
  • Negotiate prices with vendors, suppliers, traders and service providers to have the most cost effective deals while meeting requirements of standards and quality and timely of products and services.
  • Review term and conditions, payment, delivery period, warranty, after sales service, insurance and any other applicable terms mentioned in quotations to ensure it is meeting company / client requirement.
  • Plan, organizes, implement and facilitate schedule and programs related to delivery, in coordination with site Property Managers.
  • Continuously source equivalent products and services that are less expensive but conform to the standards and are acceptable to the Clients.
  • Review Vendor performance and provide feedback to the Assistant Purchase Manager.
  • Assist the Procurement Manager with any changes and update in ERP system.
  • Conduct self in a professional manner at all times to reflect the high standards of the company.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Direct Manager


Senior Buyer Experience:

  • University Degree in relevant subject matter
  • Minimum 5 years hands-on experience of procurement at least 2-3 in a recognised property or facilities management company.
  • Knowledge of procurement processes
  • Knowledge of UAE suppliers market
  • Knowledge of working with ERP system purchasing module
  • Effective Communication skills
  • English Language
  • Excellent Negotiation skills
  • Planning, organizing and analytical Skills
