Senior Civil Engineer - Must hold DM Unlimited License 452001

Our International Construction Contracting client has a new requirement for a well experienced Senior Civil Engineer with DM Unlimited license 452001 for Building Contracting to join their team in Dubai, UAE. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Senior Civil Engineer on major civil construction and build projects in the UAE.

Only candidates holding DM Unlimited License containing activity code 452001 for building contracting will be considered.

This role is available for immediate joining and is for a direct hire, permanent opportunity employed by our client.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review of project scope of work and plan activities as per project plan
• Setting out, levelling and surveying the site
• Prepare and complete action plans; implement production, productivity, quality and customer-service standards; resolve problems; complete audits; identify trends
• Manpower Management and Material Management:
• Day-today management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labor force and the work of any subcontractors
• To forecast requirements for Labour, discuss and agree all Labour requirements with Project Manager to ensure that Labour costs relate to tender allowances
• Assign roles to team members and set deadlines to achieve targets
• Checking plans, IFC & shop drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations
• Ensuring that all materials used and work performed are as per contract specifications
• Managing, monitoring and interpreting the contract design documents supplied by the client or architect
• Liaising with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors, safety officers, representatives of MEP division and the general workforce involved in the project
• Liaising with the local authority (where applicable to the project) to ensure compliance/approvals with local construction regulations and by-laws
• Set goals, monitor progress, and direct the workflow of the department to assure standards are met.
• Responsible for regular performance evaluations and annual review of performance expectation
• Training and development of subordinate employees to improve project performance and enhance individual career development.

Senior Civil Engineer Requirements:

• Bachelors degree or diploma in Civil Engineering.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in construction of building projects such as commercial, residential, hospitality or mixed use.
• Must have worked for a recognised Tier 1 Contracting Company
• DM unlimited license 452001 for building contracting is essential for this role
• Preferably with experience working on similar projects in the UAE or the wider GCC.
• Good written and oral communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with project personnel and management.
• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and construction specifications and be thoroughly familiar with construction related processes related to area of assignment
