Senior Construction Manager (Utilities) - PMC

Our Global Engineering consultancy client has a new requirement for a well experienced consultant Senior Construction Manager specialised in Utilities to join their team in NEOM, KSA at a high profile Infrastructure project. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Senior Construction Manager leading major utilities works on large scale infrastructure and building construction projects in KSA and the wider GCC. Candidates must have worked for a recognised PMC or Consultancy business previously
This role is available for immediate joining and is a direct hire, permanent placement with our client.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing multi-disciplined infrastructure design and supervision projects.
- Responsible for time, cost and quality in delivery of projects.
- Adhering to quality management system (BMS) for all assigned projects.
- Managing Clients, resources, design and approval tasks to deliver assigned projects.
- Managing the process of applications of local and international design standards.
- Liaising with government authorities, utility providers, related approval organisations and project stakeholders.
- Work with project managers to lead the project execution as per schedule and achieve deadlines.
- Monitor project progress and provide prevention measures to avoid any project schedule slippage.
- Review project execution plans and strategies and subsequently monitor the execution of these plans.
- Ensure timely and completeness of review of projects deliverables prepared by Contractor/ Consultant
- Participate in key HSE reviews and workshops providing expertise to ensure design is meeting project requirements
- Ensure that all actions, works and services undertaken by Contractor are in accordance with the respective Agreement with Company.
- Ensure compliance with Company's objectives, requirements, priorities, policies, procedures, standards, rules, regulations and guidelines.
- Review and Endorse the technical bids evaluation to ensure full compliance with project requirements.
- Implement Management of Change procedures by reviewing and approving variation orders in the Project Contract.
- Fully understand COMPANY HSE policy, procedures, regulations, and objectives as they relate to area of responsibility.
- Review and endorse Project progress reports.
- Review and approve project invoices.
- Follow up with the Contractor on daily basis and ensure that all issues are resolved on time.
- Prepare for Project review meetings with all stakeholders.
- Follow up in all construction activities as to achieve project milestones successfully
Senior Construction Manager (Utilities) Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related discipline
- 15 years post qualification experience in Construction Management of major utilities projects with at least 5 in a recognised supervision consultancy
- Completed minimum 3 major utilities construction projects
- Managed multiple contractors across a project scope at any one time
- Significant experience in leading the delivery of Utilities for major Construction/Infrastructure Projects - roads bridges, utilities, residential, commercial, educational, health facilities, industrial etc,
- Experience of working in Middle East is essential, KSA experience is preferred.
