Senior Delivery Architect - Consultancy

Our International Architectural Consultancy client has a new requirement for a well experienced Senior Delivery Architect to join their team in Abu Dhabi to work on a new Commercial, Workspace and hospitality projects in the UAE and MENA region. Successful candidates will have extensive experience as a Senior Delivery Architect ideally with a recognised consultancy company background working on projects from schematic design to delivery.

This role is available for immediate joining and is a direct hire permanent role employed by our client.

Key Responsibilities:

• Developing architectural design (using Revit) based on design brief - with experience of working from schematic design phase to Delivery.
• This is a client facing role so strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills are essential.
• Working with a team of designers, evaluating individual design, reviewing drafts and computer models, and approving design changes/deliverables, as well as overall team performance.
• Coordinating the design with Structural & MEP Engineers.
• Preparation & Review of drawings and details.
• Present design proposals and bids to clients according to prescribed deadlines, and explain relevant details, reports, expense line items, and goals in clear and persuasive language.
• Development of design solutions to the design problems and parameters agreed with the client and as contained in the Brief together with providing assistance to the Project Leader and Director in the presentation of those solutions to the client.
• Development and maintenance of a reputation and acceptance, both outside and within the client as a skilled and innovative designer.
• To keep abreast of developments in design techniques and trends.
• Acting as a mentor to other designers within their studio.
• Undertaking thorough research of both the client's needs and requirements and other similar or related projects to gain a full understanding of the design problems and parameters.
• Assisting the Director in the formulation of the Client Brief for the project in conjunction with the client.
• In producing the design solution, awareness of and response to the strategic, financial and time planning for the project.
• To assist the Director and Project Leader in the formulation of the client brief and then to undertake the management of the design process.
• To provide leadership to the Project Team and to undertaking an ongoing review of subsequent stages of the project to ensure that the integrity of the agreed design solutions are maintained particularly with regard to development of the design and late variations to the design brief.

Senior Delivery Architect Experience:

• Minimum of BSc in Architecture or related
• Experience wise must have a minimum of 10 years of experience, most recent experience must be in UAE - 4 years minimum, and MUST have worked for well-regarded design consultancies as opposed to Contractors.
• This is a client facing role so strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills are essential.
• Software: Autodesk REVIT essential, proficiency in the usual design programmes is expected.
• Experience of high rise commercial, workspace and hospitality projects is a must.
• Strong experience in design phases from schematic through to delivery.
