Senior Electrical Engineer - Consultancy

Our International Engineering consultancy client has a new requirement for a well experienced Consultant Electrical Engineer to join their team in Riyadh to work on new projects in the Kingdom. Successful candidates will have a proven background as an Consultant Electrical Engineer working on major new build projects in the Kingdom and the wider GCC. Only candidates with a proven track record of working for supervision consultants or PMC companies will be considered. .


This role is available for immediate joining and is a direct hire, permanent role employed directly by our client


Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing all aspects of a portfolio of jobs under guidance of the Project Manager
  • Core responsibilities include:- Project delivery Customer satisfaction Job profitability Job cash flow Project quality
  • Such projects could be multi-disciplinary but will generally be single discipline
  • Be able to motivate and lead professional teams to deliver client solutions.
  • Be commercially astute.
  • Be experienced and competent at: Presenting to clients Preparing client/project proposals for agreement with a Director. Negotiating fee proposals and requesting additional fees where possible.
  • Constructing project teams from internal and external resources.
  • Procuring project resources
  • Planning projects
  • Agree design philosophy/design fundamentals.
  • Review and comment on deliverables produced by the team on a regular basis.
  • Demonstrates all round technical competence.
  • Have a good knowledge of concept design, buildability, detailed design, construction techniques, procurement routes, risk assessment and claim assessment. Prepare drawings, calculations & models.
  • Have a detailed knowledge of analytical concepts.
  • Have a detailed knowledge of delivery in BIM. CAD standards and 3D working


Senior Electrical Engineer Experience:

  • BSc Minimum in Electrical Engineering
  • 7-10 years of experience
  • Proficient in BIM software in addition to usual design softwares
  • In-depth knowledge of local design standards and working experience with local authorities technical and legal requirements
  • Minimum 3-5 years KSA and regional experience at least 2 with a recognised Design or Supervision Consultancy Company
  • Registration with Saudi Council of Engineers is highly advantageous
  • Prior experience of major new build projects including; high rise, residential, commercial and hospitality projects is essential
  • Strong stakeholder and client management skills in a client facing role
