Senior ELV / ICT Design Engineer - UPDA Certified

Our multi-national Architect and Engineering consultancy client has a new requirement for a well experienced Senior ELV / ICT Design Engineer to join their team in Doha, Qatar. Successful candidates will have extensive ELV and ICT Design experience management experience on large scale projects in the GCC.


This role is available for immediate joining and is a direct hire, permanent employment opportunity.


Responsibilities:

  • Possess technical knowledge of ELV/ICT systems design (10+ years)
  • Extensive experience and a "guru" at designing ELV/ICT SYSTEMS, along with sound knowledge in Security system, CCTV, Access Control, Structured cabling, Active components (Networking), IP PBX and IP Telephony system, Public address (Paging) and Voice Evacuation System, ANPR, UVSS, IP Intercom, CO system, High sensitivity Smoke Detection, Video Wall, Gate Barrier, Bollard, Blocker, Intrusion Detection, Digital signage, Fire Telephone, Video Smoke Management System, Master clock system, FIDS, Fire alarm, PLC and SCADA.
  • Well versed with TCP/IP Ethernet networking using UTP and fiber optic.
  • Knowledge in Integration of ELV system & Building management system (BMS).
  • Knowledge of Data Center active design.
  • Knowledge Central Command Center active design.


Senior ELV / ICT Design Engineer Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in the ELV/ICT field (minimum 6 years in a design field).
  • UPDA Certified is a must.
  • Excellent knowledge of ELV/ICT systems design in Gulf area projects.
  • Excellent knowledge of local authority requirements and regulations and can obtain project related approvals from the relevant local authorities.
  • Excellent knowledge of International codes and standards.
  • Experience in preparing design documents, technical reports, specifications and client presentations are a must.
  • Fully aware with all ELV/ICT design tools/softwares.
  • Good knowledge of document production using Autodesk software (AutoCAD & Revit).
  • Excellent Communication with design teams (internal and external), clients and project managers.
  • Has the ability to lead the design team by providing direct instructions, guidance and oversight of all tasks conducted by engineers.
  • Develop the skills of junior, intermediate engineers and designers.
  • Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English.
  • Fully aware with coordination process with other disciplines such as Architecture, Mechanical, Electrical and Structural Engineering.
