Senior ELV / ICT Technical Office Engineer

Our multi-national Architect and Engineering consultancy client has a new requirement for a well experienced Senior ELV / ICT Technical Office Engineer to join their team in Doha, Qatar. Successful candidates will have extensive ELV and ICT Site experience management experience on large scale projects in the GCC.


This role is available for immediate joining and is a direct hire, permanent employment opportunity.


Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the site Resident Engineer, the role will be managing the site supervision across a wide range of specialisms in ICT, Data Center and ELV systems. Responsibilities
  • Provides leadership, direction and supervision for every phase of the ICT Project, ensuring on- schedule completion within budget and in accordance with contractual obligations.
  • Plans and defines ICT project goals and devises methods to accomplish them. Develops in-depth knowledge of client objectives, contract terms, key risks, and desired project outcomes.
  • Review the material submittals, shop drawings, method statements, calculation, as-built drawing, testing and commissioning of ICT & ELV system.
  • Ensures that the approved ICT plans (execution plan, quality plan, safety plan, etc.) are implemented by the contractors/ subcontractors.
  • Coordinates with other engineers to ensure implementation of the project governance, specifications and standards per program requirements.
  • Attend regular client meetings as part of site team representing Consquare team throughout the project as and where required.
  • Coordinates with other disciplines to ensure proper coordination of the ICT aspects of the projects.
  • Coordinates with Contractor's site staff regarding ICT works schedule, work sequence and arrangements, resources, and method of work. Review Contractor's daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports and ensure accuracy and completeness of all documentation and reports.
  • Ensures that ICT tests and inspections are performed, witnessed, and documented in accordance with Quality Management System.
  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.


Senior ELV / ICT Technical Office Engineer Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in the ELV/ICT field (minimum 6 years in the construction field).
  • UPDA Certified is a must.
  • Excellent knowledge of ELV/ICT systems in Gulf area projects.
  • Excellent knowledge of construction process and activities.
  • Excellent Knowledge of procedure and terminology for reviewing the design documents, material submittals, shop drawings and As-built drawings.
  • Managerial ability to lead engineers and inspectors and coordinate with subcontractors, planners and stakeholders.
  • Excellent knowledge of local authority requirements and regulations and can obtain project related approvals from the relevant local authorities and stakeholders.
  • Excellent knowledge of International codes and standards.
