Senior Estimator - Interior Fit Out - Contractor

Our Award Winning Interior Fit-Out Contracting client has a new requirement for a well experienced Senior Estimator to join their team in Dubai, UAE. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Senior Estimator on commercial, hospitality and office space interior fit out projects and contracts in the UAE.


This role is available for immediate joining and is a direct hire role employed by our client.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Understanding estimating scope of work, deliverables, schedule of execution, estimate structure, formats, reports. Familiar with Estimating Plan and Basis of Estimate preparation.
  • Construction Site / Field experience including hands on knowledge of Direct Field Labor (D.F.L) and production rates / Productivity factors for the Middle East region.
  • Familiar with calculation of direct and indirect costs from a first principle basis or factorization as applicable to the class of estimate.
  • Review quantity take-off from engineering drawings for civil, structural, architectural, ID and MEP works.
  • Assess the Bids of OEM/Supplier/Vendor/Contractors and prepare commercial Bid Analysis to finalize the cost estimation.
  • Ability to understand commercial contract conditions and implications of contractual clause.
  • Familiar with calculation of growth allowance, design evolution, provisions, contingency.
  • Familiar with calculation of cash expenditure, predicted escalation over project duration.
  • Understanding of Estimating Project Life cycle – Pre award cost estimation (Study estimates) and Post award cost estimation & control (execution estimates).
  • Familiar with setting up of Cost baseline after project award for execution.
  • Ability to capture cost variations and reporting to client on a regular basis.
  • Ability to review payment application based on actual progress and verification from site walkdown at execution stage of the project.
  • Review of final reconciliation of quantities for re-measurable contracts.
  • Analyze Change, variations, claims and prepare recommendations.
  • Client facing and ability to prepare and deliver presentations to all stakeholders.


Senior Estimator (Interior Fit Out) Experience:

  • Minimum Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Engineering or related
  • Certification from AACE International - Certified Estimating Professional (CEP) would be advantageous.
  • 8-10 years of experience in a first principle estimating environment, ideally on large commercial, hospitality and office space projects,
  • At least 3 years of experience working in the Middle East region in interior fit out projects.
  • Strong MS Office skills and experience with estimating tools and systems, preferably Candy.
  • Interpersonal and good communication skills in the areas of both written and verbal communication.
