Senior Infrastructure Design Engineer - Consultancy

Our International Engineering consultancy client has a new requirement for a well experienced Senior Infrastructure Design Engineer to join their team in Dubai to work on new Infrastructure, Power & Water projects. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Senior Infrastructure Design Engineer working on major Infrastructure, Power & Water Projects in the UAE.

This role is available for immediate joining and is a direct hire, permanent role employed directly by our client

Key Responsibilities:

• The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing client briefs (RFP’s), responding with tailored proposals, as well as managing small teams to deliver smart, efficient and compliant infrastructure packages to a high standard of quality.
• Preparation of concept and detailed civil infrastructure designs and producing technical and commercial specifications, design reports, drawings and schedules including but not limited to dry utilities, wet utilities, highways and infrastructure
• Monitors and controls project budgets and schedules, initiating any necessary action to achieve established financial targets.
• Driving high quality drawing production (working parallel with drafters).
• Preparation of tender submissions including proposal cost and time estimates.
• Liaison with municipalities, utilities, and other consultants for information, as required in pursuit of approvals and general coordination tasks.
• Coordination with the other internal multi-discipline project managers, teams and sub consultants.
• Supervision and mentoring junior staff, providing technical and professional guidance to assist in their development.
• In addition to your technical strengths, we are looking for a candidate with strong leadership, communication and mentoring skills that can lead teams on a project basis so that the solutions delivered to clients are innovative, sustainable and appropriate.

Senior Infrastructure Design Engineer Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Project Management or Civil Engineering related technical/business field
• 10+ years of related engineering design and management experience on large scale Infrastructure, Power & Water programs
• Candidate should have a broad general technical and business background with emphasis on infrastructure related projects.
• Professional registration may also be required.
• Must have the ability to manage projects, interface with clients and enjoy being hands on technically in the project.
• In particular, must have a strong background in infrastructure design and good knowledge and understanding of associated design disciplines such as wet/dry utilities, communications, infrastructure master-planning, pumping stations, street lighting, MEP and landscaping. Must be experienced in coordinating multi-discipline design teams, and able to align them to meet project goals.
• Comprehensive knowledge of industry standards.
• Proven ability to perform in a management capacity, excellent written and oral communications
