Senior Landscape Architect - 3 Month Contract

Our International Engineering consultancy client has a new requirement for a well experienced Senior Landscape Architect to join their team in Dubai, UAE at a high profile project. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Senior Landscape Architect on large scale civil construction and beautification projects in the UAE and the wider GCC.


This role is available for immediate joining and is an initial 3 month fixed term contract as an outsourced employee through J10 Consulting..


Key Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Resident Engineer and assisting in supervising the construction of landscaping.
  • Coordinating direct activities with other engineers and members of the construction supervision team
  • Assisting the senior management in review of shop drawings, materials submittals, pre-qualifications, RFI, method statements and other activities.
  • Coordinating with design Engineers for resolution of related issues.
  • Maintaining daily diary and the daily inspection reports.
  • Coordinating with the contractor on scheduling and application of resources.
  • Directing, assisting and monitoring the performance of inspectors and surveyors as applicable.
  • Convene and chairing special meetings with the contractor, subcontractors and other parties related to the work.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of records
  • Ensure safety goals are achieved on the project and oversee implementation of safety procedures on the project
  • Act positively and participate in all health and safety issues at site, as requested by senior management
  • Checking and measuring the performed works, record and assist senior management to display progress vs. programmed work.
  • Ensure correctness and completeness of ‘as-built’ drawings.


Senior Landscape Architect Experience:

  • BSc In Architecture or Landscape Contracting
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant career experience in Landscape Architecture
  • At least 3 years of which will be working in the UAE
  • At least 2 major Landscaping projects in your portfolio from inception to completion
  • Previous experience working in a recognised Consultancy company is essential
