Senior Planning Engineer (Data Centres) - Main Contractor

Our International Main Contracting client has a new requirement for a well experienced Senior Planning Engineer to join their team in Dubai to work on high profile data centre projects in the Emirates. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Senior Planning Engineer on new build data centre projects in the UAE and have worked in the capacity of Senior Planning Engineer for a recognised main contracting company previously.
This role is available for immediate joining and is a direct hire, permanent opportunity employed by our client.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, including all phases of the project.
- Monitor and track project progress and provide regular updates to the project team and management.
- Identify potential delays and propose mitigation plans to ensure project timelines are met.
- Coordinate with various departments and stakeholders to gather project information and requirements.
- Prepare and present progress reports, including S-curves, histograms, and other key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Ensure all planning and scheduling activities comply with company policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor and verify project progress.
- Assist in the preparation and submission of extension of time (EOT) claims and other project documentation.
- Utilize project management software and tools to manage schedules and track project performance.
- Support the project team with planning and scheduling expertise to achieve project objectives.
Senior Planning Engineer Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Proven experience (typically 7-10+ years) in project planning and scheduling, preferably in new build projects including at least one full life cycle data centre project.
- Strong knowledge of project planning and scheduling techniques and tools.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or other planning software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy.
