Senior Planning Engineer - Main Contractor - 3-6 Month Contract

Our Tier 1 Main Contracting client has a new requirement for a well experienced Senior Planning Engineer to join their team in Dubai to work on high profile large villa masterplan developments and/or high rise tower projects in the Emirates. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Senior Planning Engineer on large scale civil construction projects in the UAE and have worked in the capacity of Senior Planning Engineer for a recognised main contracting company previously.


This role is available for immediate joining and is an initial 3-6 Month Contract as an outsource employed by J10 Consulting.

There is an option to transfer to staff after 6 months to suit all parties


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement and maintain detailed project schedules, including all phases of the project.
  • Develop, implement and maintain resource and cost loaded plans and master schedules
  • Monitor and track project progress and provide regular updates to the project team and management.
  • Identify potential delays and propose mitigation plans to ensure project timelines are met.
  • Coordinate with various departments and stakeholders to gather project information and requirements.
  • Prepare and present progress reports, including S-curves, histograms, and other key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Ensure all planning and scheduling activities comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor and verify project progress.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of extension of time (EOT) claims and other project documentation.
  • Utilize project management software and tools to manage schedules and track project performance.
  • Support the project team with planning and scheduling expertise to achieve project objectives.


Senior Planning Engineer Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • Proven experience (typically 8-10+ years) in project planning and scheduling, preferably in large scale civil construction projects (Villas / High Rise Towers)
  • Strong knowledge of project planning and scheduling techniques and tools.
  • Proven experience in development, implementation and maintenance of resource and cost loaded plans and master schedules.
  • Leading in the production of project reports - internal and external.
  • Production of critical path review - identification of early project risk and mitigation proposals
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or other planning software.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy.
