Senior Project Manager - PMC

Our Global Project Management Consultancy client has a new requirement for a well experienced Senior Project Manager to join their team in Al Ula, KSA to work on new hospitality, mixed use, sports, healthcare and education projects in the Kingdom. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Senior Project Manager on large scale developments and projects in the Kingdom or wider GCC and must have worked for a recognised PMC or Consultancy business previously in PMC or PMO lead capacity.


This role is available for immediate joining and is a direct hire, permanent placement with our client.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for the end-to-end leadership, management and delivery of all aspects of this project. This includes project management, timeliness, quality, risk management, project financial performance and scope management of the projects, in line with accepted methodology.
  • Accountable for successful close out of commercial fee and contractual negotiations with the Client and their representative.
  • Accountable for the establishment of the project, including resourcing from Delivery Centres and Offices, project set up, work breakdown structure, program development, milestone establishment, scope changes and variations
  • Demonstrate care about the well-being of themselves and others, through actively participating in and driving OHS activities.
  • Build and lead whole project delivery team, secure required resources.
  • Ensure project delivery activity is in line with Company standards and client expectations
  • Ensure effective closeout and debrief occurs with Client, Client Relationship Executive, People Manager and Project Leader
  • Technical Management:
  • Offer strategic guidance on the establishment of Technical Design standards, and philosophy.
  • Planning and directing, collaborating and communicating with the relevant technical design and master planning consultants.
  • Establish communication paths to resolve possible design issues, provide guidance and align with the project requirements.
  • Control-monitor-provide-technical support on every design stage of programs.
  • Accountable for the P/L of the project
  • Have an excellent understanding of Risk and the need to use their commercial acumen
  • Review and submit monthly Project Status Reports
  • Review Project budget at the start of the project.
  • Conduct Monthly Financial Review with the team and present to Senior Management         
  • Client Management
  • Manage contract matters with Client
  • Escalate issues in a timely manner to the Project Review Board.


Senior Project Manager Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture or Construction related field
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in large scale development projects is required with at least 2 full life cycle development projects in your portfolio
  • Requires a comprehensive knowledge of construction related processes, as well as industry practices
  • Strong working knowledge of FIDIC and pre contract through delivery of projects
  • Requires excellent written and oral English communication skills
  • Familiarity with software packages typically associated with Construction management
  • Proven ability to perform in a lead capacity on a program with exceptional stakeholder management skills.
