Senior Quantity Surveyor (MRICS) - PMC

Our global Engineering consultancy client has a new requirement for a well experienced consultant Chartered Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Riyadh, KSA at a high profile project. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Senior Quantity Surveyor on large scale mega project developments in KSA and the wider GCC. Only candidates having full MRICs status will be considered.

This role is available for immediate joining and is a direct hire, permanent placement with our client.

Key Responsibilities:

Pre contract commercial lead

• Cost Planning and estimating (BCIS and NRM1);
• Value Engineering, cash flow forecasts, Whole Life Costing, risk management;
• Bills of Quantities production (POMI and CESSM3);
• Tender services including compilation, tender analysis, negotiations and recommendations;
• Contract drafting (FIDIC);

Post contract commercial lead (managing delivery team);

• Management of bonds, insurances and guarantee logs;
• Interim valuations and payment certificates;
• Variations analysis, recommendations and management;
• Risk and value management and cost control functions;
• Costs analysis project work;
• Identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks;
• Preparation of progress/ cost reports;
• Reporting to Associate Director on all commercial issues;
• Understanding the implications of health and safety regulations;
• Attendance and representation at commercial meetings.

Senior Quantity Surveyor (MRICS) Experience:

• Candidates must have MRICS status as minimum. This is non-negotiable;
• BSC in Quantity Surveying from a recognised institution is preferred.
• Experience in major civil construction projects from a recognised consultancy or PMC company background;
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience;
• Minimum of 3 years’ UAE, UK or international experience;
• Must have consultant and/or client background for minimum of 2 years;
• Knowledge in the use of QS software is required;
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills;
• Possess good project background and proven English language technical writing ability and skills.
