Senior Quantity Surveyor (MRICS)

Our global Engineering consultancy client has a new requirement for a well experienced consultant Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Riyadh, KSA at a high profile project. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Senior Quantity Surveyor on large scale mega project developments in KSA and the wider GCC.

This role is available for immediate joining and is a direct hire, permanent placement with our client.

Key Responsibilities:

Pre contract commercial lead

• Cost Planning and estimating (BCIS and NRM1);
• Value Engineering, cash flow forecasts, Whole Life Costing, risk management;
• Bills of Quantities production (POMI and CESSM3);
• Tender services including compilation, tender analysis, negotiations and recommendations;
• Contract drafting (FIDIC);

Post contract commercial lead (managing delivery team);

• Management of bonds, insurances and guarantee logs;
• Interim valuations and payment certificates;
• Variations analysis, recommendations and management;
• Risk and value management and cost control functions;
• Costs analysis project work;
• Identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks;
• Preparation of progress/ cost reports;
• Reporting to Associate Director on all commercial issues;
• Understanding the implications of health and safety regulations;
• Attendance and representation at commercial meetings.

Senior Quantity Surveyor (MRICS) Experience:

• MRICS status as minimum. This is non-negotiable;
• BSC in Quantity Surveying from a recognised institution
• Experience in Residential, and / or retail and / or hospitality experience is must;
• Minimum of 12 years’ experience;
• Minimum of 5 years’ UAE, UK or international experience;
• Must have consultant and/or client background for minimum of 2 years;
• Knowledge in the use of QS software CATO or similar is required;
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills;
• Possess good project background and proven English language technical writing ability and skills.
