Senior Site Interior Designer - Consultancy - 6 Month Contract

Our International Architectural Consultancy client has a new requirement for a well experienced Senior Site Interior Designer to join their team in Dubai to work on a new build hospitality, residential and high rise projects in the UAE and MENA region. Successful candidates will have extensive experience as a Senior Site Interior Designer ideally with a recognised consultancy company background.


This role is available for immediate joining and is an initial 6 month contract position as an outsource employee through J10 Consulting.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the delivery of projects at different stages
  • Be responsible for creating and leading design concepts through creative thought processes focussed on user experience, materiality and sustainable approaches
  • Lead the selection of FF&E and production of interior specifications
  • Have a project focused view, across multiple projects
  • Demonstrate design and technical aptitude, with developing design and technical confidence
  • Demonstrate knowledge of industry wide furniture and design suppliers, able to lead procurement and client selection discussions
  • Have responsibilities for managing teams with specific roles, areas or packages within projects
  • Work within an agreed scope and deliver complete packages of work to deadline
  • Develop design work in close cooperation with other members of the project team
  • Implement designs, contracts and strategic decisions reporting to the project lead
  • Be responsible for designing to and managing budgets
  • Be confident in AutoCAD, Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Assist with the liaison with the client, stake holders and authorities
  • Reviewing Shop Drawings, RFI's and Material Submittals from contractors and sub consultants.


Senior Site Interior Designer Experience

  • Education: Bachelor in Interior Design, Architecture or related
  • Experience wise must have a minimum of 10 years of experience, most recent experience must be in UAE - 4 years minimum, and MUST have worked for well-regarded design consultancies as opposed to Contractors.
  • Strong space planning skills and attention to detail.
  • Hospitality, residential and/or commercial workplace experience
  • Exceptional design thinking skills
  • Adobe Suite AutoCAD skills are essential
  • Rhino and Revit skills would be advantageous
  • Possess excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
