Site Operations, Strategy & Business Development Lead - Construction

Our Global Engineering consultancy client has a new requirement for a well experienced consultant Site Operations, Strategy and Business Development Lead to join their team in Riyadh, KSA across a number of high profile projects. Successful candidates will have a proven background in Site Operations, Strategy and Business Development on large scale civil construction and building projects in KSA and the wider GCC.
This role is available for immediate joining and is a direct hire, permanent placement with our client.
Key Responsibilities:
- Will lead the functional management of the site operations/site supervision team in KSA.
- Will be responsible for all site operations services across the kingdom, ideally with particular expertise in the buildings sector.
- Should be Arabic speaking with a good knowledge of the Saudi construction and contractor market.
- Should have a good network within the site operations/site supervision space in KSA, with the ability to attract key staff and functional leadership within the team. Ideally with strong existing client relationships.
- Role will include the some corporate strategy and growth around the site operations/site supervision market, and will be actively 'selling' services within the market as part of a growth strategy. This will be in addition to running supervision services secured through both the project management and design commissions led by others
Operations, Strategy & BD Lead Experience:
- A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field
- Background as Resident Engineer / Leadership role in the delivery of multidisciplinary design on site
- Good network in KSA for business development
- Capable of leading bidding strategies and potential partnerships in KSA market
- Experience of KSA project delivery
- Proven working experience in program /project & construction management
- Advanced knowledge of planning & construction management processes, means and methods
- Knowledge of Civil Construction and Building projects, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards
- Ability to plan and see the “big picture”
- Competent in conflict and crisis management
- Leadership and management skills

- Communication & stakeholder engagement skills
- Aware about strategic & alignment management
- Decision making and prioritization skills
- Excellent time and project management skills
