Structural Design Engineer (Structural Steel) - Contractor

Our Structural Steel Contracting Company client has a new requirement for a number of well experienced Structural Design Engineers to join their team in Sharjah, UAE to work on prestigious new projects. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Structural Design Engineer on large scale structural steel buildings and infrastructure projects in the UAE.

This role is available for immediate joining and is for a direct hire, permanent opportunity, employed by our client

Key Responsibilities:

• As an already accomplished Structural Engineer you will be responsible for, but not limited to, the design, coordination, specification, code compliance of the structural steel engineering.
• Identify the discrepancies in the inputs and highlight the same to the lead engineer with details.
• Prepare design calculations in accordance to the project specifications, codes and design guide lines.
• Make connection design and sketches for the given loads.
• Verify the engineering drawings for the correct interpretation of the design details.
• To make spread sheets for the repetitive calculation and validate with a manual calculation.
• To propose alternate better cost effective technical proposals and right kind of material for construction.
• Supervise construction and fabrication activities by random site / yard visits and make reports.

Structural Steel Design Engineer Experience:

• Bachelor’s and / or Masters Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering.
• Design, analyze, and construct structural elements of buildings, complex structures and other STEEL STRUCTURES.
• Develop structural plans, specifications, and calculations.
• Must know connection detailing of complex steel structures.
• Review shop drawings.
• Must be well versed in STAAD PRO and strong knowledge of Steel Structures.
• Must have 05 years UAE experience
