Structural Draughtsman - Main Contractor - 3-6 Month Contract

Our Tier 1 Main Contracting Client has a new requirement for a well experienced Structural Draughtsman to join their team in Dubai to work on high profile new build projects. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Structural Draughtsman with strong knowledge in RCC frames, structural steel and rebar working on high profile projects in the UAE with preference given to those with prior experience working for recognised Main Contracting Companies

This role is available for immediate joining and is an initial 3-6 Month Contract position employed as an outsource candidate through J10 Consulting.

There is an option at 6 months to transfer to staff if it suits all parties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare concept drawings from PD design sketches.
• Dimensioning & preparing Area Schedule.
• Update Preliminary Design.
• Maintaining electronic drawing files.
• Comply with the Quality Management System.
• Prepare Detailed Engineering drawings from Engineers sketches/ Basic Engineering Drawings
• Revise Detailed Engineering Drawings to incorporate comments
• Revising Tender drawings as per Clients Comments.
• Prepare/organise Area Schedule.
• Make regular backups and Maintaining electronic files

Structural CAD/REVIT Draughtsman Experience:

• Diploma or degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Minimum 6 years of recent progressive experience (at least 3 years in the UAE with recognised Contracting companies)
• The ideal candidate must have strong CAD and Revit experience in Pre- Concept to Schematic Design phases.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit and MS Office
• Ability to communicate clearly in English
• Ability to work under own initiative to meet deadlines and submissions.
