Sustainability Consultant / Client Rep - Consultancy - 6 Month Contract

Our Multi National Consultancy client has a new requirement for a well experienced Sustainability Consultant to join their team in Riyadh to work as a client representative managing design review & certification compliance on LEED / MOSTADAM new build projects in the Kingdom. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Sustainability Consultant in a similar capacity. Only candidates with a background in Architecture and a proven track record of working for recognised supervision consultants or PMC Companies will be considered.


This role is available for immediate joining and is an initial 6 month contract position hire as an outsource, employed by J10 Consulting.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct sustainability assessments and implement green building strategies
  • Ensure compliance with environmental standards and regulations
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project goals
  • Provide technical advice on sustainable design and construction practices
  • Preparation and quality control of the green building design documentation as well as project specifications, calculations, plans and submittals
  • Develop technical and non-technical reports as per scopes of assigned projects and ensure high quality of deliverables
  • Contributions to regional publications, lectures, teaching
  • Personal development and plan to develop skills necessary


Sustainability Consultant Experience:

  • Proven proficiency in sustainable design principles and green building certifications
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Architecture with a focus on sustainability within the built environment sector
  • GCC experience is essential
  • In-depth knowledge of architectural materials in the KSA/UAE market, with the ability to recommend materials that achieve the required embodied energy and carbon reductions.
  • Familiarity with environmental standards and regulations.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and graphical presentation skills (Microsoft PowerPoint, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent planning and organization skills for keeping up with fast-paced settings.
  • Degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering.
  • LEED AP BD+C credential required, LCA experience is a plus.
