Technical Architect (Design Review) - Developer

Our Multi National Real Estate Developer client has a new requirement for a well experienced Technical Architect to join their team in Dubai, UAE to work on new Residential Projects in the Emirates. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Technical Architect on Residential projects (High rise, mid rise and villa's) in the UAE and the wider GCC and a proven background working in a recognised PMC or Design Consultancy business with strong design review skills is essential..

This role is available for immediate joining and is a direct hire permanent role employed by our client.

Key Responsibilities:

• Working with a team of designers, evaluating individual design, reviewing drafts and computer models, and approving design changes/deliverables, as well as overall team performance.
• Coordinate with internal teams, including project managers, design architects, and engineers, to ensure that the drawings meet all project requirements.
• Collaborate with internal & external consultants, including structural engineers and MEP engineers, to ensure that the drawings are coordinated with other disciplines.
• Review construction documents and plans to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, including local authorities
• Prepare and submit applications for permits and approvals, including responding to any requests for additional information or documentation.
• Coordinate with local authorities and regulatory bodies to obtain all necessary permits, licenses, and approvals for construction projects.
• Maintain accurate records of all permits, licenses, and approvals, and ensure that all necessary renewals and extensions are obtained on time.
• Participate in meetings with clients, government agencies, and other stakeholders to discuss and resolve any issues related to construction drawings or permits.
• Mentor and train junior architects and draftsmen on best practices for producing construction drawings.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in construction documentation and detailing.
• Undertaking thorough research of both the client's needs and requirements and other similar or related projects to gain a full understanding of the design problems and parameters.
• To assist the Director and Project Leader in the formulation of the client brief and then to undertake the management of the schematic design process.
• To provide leadership to the Project Team and to undertaking an ongoing review of subsequent stages of the project to ensure that the integrity of the agreed design solutions are maintained particularly with regard to development of the design and late variations to the design brief.

Technical Architect Experience:

• Minimum of BSc in Architecture or related
• Experience wise must have a minimum of 8-10 years of experience, most recent experience must be in UAE - 4 years minimum and MUST have worked for well-regarded design consultancies as opposed to Contractors.
• Software: Autodesk REVIT essential, proficiency in the usual design programmes is expected.
• Experience of high rise, mid rise and villa Residential projects is a must.
• Strong experience in Technical design review.
