Technical Director - Consultancy

Our global Engineering consultancy client has a new requirement for a well experienced Technical Director to join their team in Riyadh, KSA at a high profile project. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Technical Director on large scale civil construction projects in KSA and the wider GCC.
This role is available for immediate joining and is a direct hire, permanent placement with our client.
Key Responsibilities:
- The Technical Director is a senior management role, accountable for contributing to the strategic leadership, operational performance, technical and people leadership of their team and discipline projects across our clients portfolio of projects. You will also be responsible for the Project Director role for selected multi and single disciplinary projects across the ME.
- Your focus in this position is split between, but not limited to, four key areas;
Business Leadership
- Responsible for the leadership and support of your team
- Ensure the right resources are utilised effectively at the right time across their team and projects
Business Development
- Proactively support business development activities through participation in external market profile raising activities and functions
- Actively develop external and internal client relationships and proactively co-sell other client products and services and where applicable the wider business
Project Leadership
- To act as project director on selected projects by leading and managing the successful delivery of high quality multi and single disciplinary projects
- Accountable for the completion of monthly management project reports to be issued by set deadline
Technical
- Keep up to date with industry developments with respect to own discipline, other disciplines and engineering innovations and developments on a global scale
- Drive innovation and utilise technological advancement
Technical Director Experience:
- BEng / BSc (Hon) or equivalent degree with minimum 15 years post graduate experience
- Member of associated Professional body
- C.Eng preferred although not essential
- Experienced user of BIM
- Experience and proven ability to lead and manage an engineering team and multi-disciplinary projects
- Excellent client Relationship Management
- Financial management experience of a business unit/division.
- Comprehensive experience in associated discipline software
