Technical Engineer - Main Contractor - 3 Month Contract

Our Main Contractor Civil Construction client has a new requirement for a well experienced Technical Engineer to join their team in Dubai to work on Commercial, Hospitality and Residential projects in the Emirates. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Technical Engineer on projects in the UAE. Only candidates who have worked in a Technical Engineer Capacity for a recognised main contractor will be considered


This role is available for immediate joining and is an initial 3 Month Contract position employed as an outsource through J10 Consulting.


Key Responsibilities:

  • The Technical Engineer will play a key role in the planning, design, and implementation of low and mid rise build projects, ensuring they meet high-quality standards and safety regulations.
  • Project Planning:Lead the planning phase of projects, conducting site assessments, feasibility studies, and establishing project requirements.
  • Design and Engineering: Collaborate with architects and design teams to develop detailed engineering plans for structures, interiors, MEP systems,
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that designs and engineering plans comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including safety codes and environmental standards.
  • Material Specification: Specify materials, finishes, and construction methods in accordance with project requirements and industry standards.
  • Budgeting and Cost Estimation: Develop project budgets and provide accurate cost estimates for construction, considering materials, labor, and other associated expenses.
  • Construction Oversight: Manage and oversee the construction phase, collaborating with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure quality, safety, and adherence to project timelines.
  • Quality Control: Implement quality control measures to ensure the durability, safety, and aesthetic appeal of swimming structures.
  • Client Communication: Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates on project progress, addressing concerns, and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Documentation: Generate and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including drawings, specifications, contracts, and other relevant records


Technical Engineer Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Civil, Structural or Architectural Engineering
  • Minimum of 10 years post grad experience - at least 3 years relevant UAE experience in recognised main contracting companies
  • Proven ability to drive Civil Construction projects to deliver on time and to budget
  • Working knowledge of design softwares and capability to interface between multiple disciplines including Architecture, ID, MEP and other sub contractors.
  • Strong stakeholder communication and management is essential. Arabic speaking will be advantageous
  • UAE Driving license is essential
