Vice President - Facilities Management

Our Multi National Developer client has a new requirement for a well experienced Vice President of Facilities Management to join, lead and develop their FM Verticals in the UAE. Successful candidates will have extensive Facilities Management leadership experience within Construction, FM or Real Estate for commercial, residential and mixed use developments both existing and under construction.


This role is available for immediate joining and is a direct hire, permanent opportunity, employed directly by our client.


Responsibilities:

  • Set up and develop relationships with Owner's Associations and manage key customer representatives and their expectations.
  • Interactions with RERA as required and to update self & team regarding Strata laws and regulations.
  • Lead the development and implementation of strategy for the Facility Management Services and ensure it is aligned to corporate objectives.
  • Confer with legal authorities to ensure that renting and advertising practices are not discriminatory and that properties comply with state and federal regulations.
  • Contribute to the formulation and communication of Procurement and Asset Management strategy, to ensure that facilities and administration services-related matters are considered.
  • Develops and monitors department budget; orders equipment and supplies and monitors inventory; makes requests for capital outlay expenditures as needed.
  • Develops specifications for cost-effective management systems; supervises the operations.
  • Experienced leader with skills in team building, staff development & motivating, demonstrated through improved quality, productivity and effectiveness on all contracts engaged on.
  • Demonstrated Business Development skills with capability of driving the growth of the business.
  • Demonstrated capability in FM Contract Management & Performance Management.
  • Ability to independently handle FM Division operations in a result-oriented manner.
  • Well experienced in all FM services, FM design review, projects handover, transition management, FM procurement and operations management.
  • Demonstrated capability in streamlining operations and cost optimization.
  • Hands on experience in operational process analysis & process redesigning.
  • An effective communicator, displaying problem solving & logical thinking ability to sort out technical problems.
  • Highly motivated team player with excellent analytical, decision making, & organizational skills.
  • Hands on professional approach to efficiently & confidently working in highly demanding situations.
  • Successful stakeholders manager in Facilities Management
  • To independently, where necessary, develop, implement and deliver customer solutions along with the Operations team
  • Develop, implement and monitor procedures, processes & systems to manage the complete operations process
  • Work out detailed P & L's for each project along with investment and Capex requirements for final approvals of CEO
  • Be responsible for all vendor contract renewals and annual price increments
  • Regularly (as agreed) submit forecasts and results to senior management.
  • Work closely with your direct reports to weekly track the progress on each project and work out efficient ways for profitable cost effective measures to manage the property
  • Review performance to plan every month and review aggregate scorecard performance with staff at quarterly intervals or as agreed.
  • Take ownership of communicating, implementing and following up on any action plans prepared on the basis of the feedback process
  • In consultation with team members establish individual performance targets
  • Attract, develop and retain outstanding people


Vice President - Facilities Management Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or similar
  • Minimum 12-15 years of experience in working for renowned companies either client, consultant or service provider side..
  • Proven track record in leading vast FM teams working in fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in managing large size projects and implementing FM strategy for newly released projects
  • Experience in managing large in-house and group company teams in addition to vendor management and relationships
  • Strong knowledge in OA and Community Management
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; good negotiating skills; analytical skills;
  • Innovative and forward-thinking skills;
  • A global thinker, but able to act locally.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
